Two Fish in a Barrel is a charming café and full-service catering company nestled in the beautiful islands of Bermuda. We take pride in serving the freshest local fare, featuring daily catch from our very own commercial fishing boat and highlighting Bermudian produce and products whenever possible. Rooted in the spirit of Bermudian hospitality, our space is a celebration of community, culture, and sustainability.
Inside the café, you'll find artwork by local artists—many of whom create stunning pieces from beach plastics, sea glass, and other salvaged materials from our treasured shores. Every detail of Two Fish in a Barrel is crafted to honour the island we call home.
CHEF & OWNER
Rachel Wilks began her culinary journey in 2006 when she enrolled at a Le Cordon Bleu program at Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. It was during her externship at the Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite Park, California preparing for their weekly Sunday brunch bounty where she discovered her love for creating sharing platters such as decadent charcuterie boards. Rachel's career continued in New York City where she lived from 2008-2014 and worked as an event planner for several years, as well as food and bar service that ultimately led to restaurant management.
Even after an attempt at a career change to adolescent education and becoming a certified English Language Arts teacher, the restaurant industry never stopped calling. Upon moving to Bermuda in 2014, Rachel fell in love with Bermuda's Bounty of fresh fish, local produce, and the island spirit of outdoor dining.
