Two Fish in a Barrel prides itself on always using local fish, and local/organic herbs and produce whenever possible - often from our own commercial fishing boat and garden!

Local Catch: Bermuda has a lovely bounty of fresh fish, which includes but not limited to tuna, wahoo, snapper, barracuda, mahi mahi, turbot, jacks, black grouper (called rockfish in BDA), red hind, and spiny lobster. One of our favourites to feature is lionfish, an invasive species to our coral reefs. Not only do they taste delicious in a ceviche, but we "eat em to beat em!"

Fresh Produce: Because of Bermuda's warm climate, we have the lovely ability to grow fresh produce all year round. Typical vegetables grown here are carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, onion, cabbage, lettuces, cucumber, beans, tomatoes, pumpkin, sweet potato... the list goes on! Two Fish in a Barrel loves to peruse local farms for your menu, and pick fresh herbs and produce from our own garden.

Fresh Fruits: Throughout the year the island's fruit trees and berry plants flourish for us to enjoy. While we can get passion fruit, avocado, lemon/lime, and the sweetest of strawberries, our favourite fruit is of course the loquat. This oval-shaped little fruit has a juicy, peach-like texture that is tart like a citrus yet sweet like a peach and is perfect for making loquat jam for our charcuterie boards.

Honey: A few local companies are now producing honey and the taste is truly worth the extra dollar. Perhaps it's the sunshine and our colorful island flowers that produce the sweetest of honey - either way, it is a must have on our cheese boards!
